Tu vida en fotos [Your life in pictures]

Me gusta sacar fotos. Creo que empecé a sacar fotos alrededor de los diez años, en realidad tendría que revisar un poco para tener una fecha más precisa. Las fotos tienden a apilares, sobre todo desde que aparecieron las cámaras digitales donde ya no tenés un límite de 24 o 36 fotos.
Desde hace algún tiempo, estoy usando flickr como una especie de back up para mis fotos, y también una forma de mirarlas y seleccionarlas, porque por lo general la pila de fotos queda guardada en el fondo de algún disco rígido o tarjeta de memoria (que, si tenemos suerte, no se va a romper... por las dudas habría que tener al menos un back up de las fotos, si son dos, mejor).
Después de subir algo así como media década de fotos, estaba navegando por el "rollo de fotos" (camera roll) de flickr, donde las fotos están organizadas por la fecha en que fueron tomadas. Ahí se me ocurrió que quizás era buena idea elegir una foto por mes, porque por más que hice una selección de fotos (y no subí TODAS), igual eran muchas fotos. Se me ocurrió que de esta forma (eligiendo una foto por mes) sería más fácil recordar qué pasó en ese año en particular, algo así como un "calendario", pero del año que ya pasó.
La idea inicial era elegir una foto por mes, dentro de todas las fotos tomadas ese mes, pero en algunos meses esto se puede complicar, porque no saqué ninguna foto, o porque no me gusta ninguna. En ese caso, la idea sería elegir una foto que no fuera de ese mes, preferentemente de los meses cercanos.
Así que, bueno, acá esta mi primer intento de calendario, del año pasado (2015). El álbum original de flickr está por acá. Todavía no encontré en flickr algo parecido a un blog, donde uno pueda escribir, seguro que esta por ahí, pero estoy más acostumbrado al formato de blogger, así que acá van las fotos con una breve descripción.


I like to take pictures. I think I started shooting when I was about 10 years old, I should check for a more precise date. Pictures tend to pile up, moreover after the arrival of digital cameras, where you don't have a 24 or 36 pictures limit. Some time ago I started using flickr as a kind of back up of my pictures, and also as a way of watching them, moreover since the advent of digital cameras, where we generally don't mind taking an immense amount of pictures, just to end there sitting in a hard disk or memory card (that, if we are lucky, it won't fail - just in case, you may want to have at least one back up, preferably two).

After selecting and uploading something like half a decade of pictures, I was browsing flickr through the "camera roll" page, where pictures are organized by the date you took them. There I realized that it would be a good idea to choose one picture per month, because even I was careful to make some selection (and not upload ALL my pictures), there where a lot of pictures. I though that in this way  (selecting twelve pictures per year) I would remember in a glance what was going on in that particular year, something like a "calendar", but from the past years.

The initial idea was to choose one picture per month from all the pictures taken that month, but sometimes this would not happen, because I didn't took pictures that month, or because I don't like any one. So, in that case, I may select a picture from some other month, preferably close to the month which is lacking.

So well, here is my first calendar try, for the past year (2015). The original flickr album here. I haven't found yet in flick a place to write something like a blog, sure there is some way, but I'm more used to blogger, so here are the pictures with some brief explanation.

Enero: Rapelando la aguja Campanile, en Frey, después de subir por la vía
  Buch-Going. De vuelta a la escalada alpina después de unos dos años y algo.
January: Rappelling aguja Campanile, Frey, after climbing the Buch-Going route.
Back to alpine climbing after about two years.

Febrero: Martín al final de la primer subida del recorrido de los cuatro refugios (Frey, Jackob, Laguna Negra y Lopez). Cinco subidas en total, unos 37 km y 3100 m de subida. Por acá se corre la carrera 4refugios, tardamos algo así como el doble de tiempo del ganador de ese año.
February: Martín at the top of the first climb of the four huts trek (Frey, Jackob, Laguna Negra and Lopez). Five climbs at the end, about 37 km and 3100 m of climb. This is the course of the 4refugios race, we completed it in about the double of the time of that year's winner.

Marzo: Rapelando en la aguja M2, en Frey. Fin de semana de escalada con Martín.
March: Rappelling aguja M2, Frey. Alpine climbing weekend with Martín.

Abril: Llegando a la laguna Ilón, la última de las cinco lagunas. Esta vez fuimos en dos días, con Martín, Laura y Pascual. Bastante nublado el clima los dos días, y lluvioso a la noche, pero ya llegando a Pampa Linda se despejó un poco y pudimos apreciar la vista.
April: Getting to Ilón lagoon, the last one of the "five lagoons" trek. This time we did it in two days, with Martín, Laura and Pascual. Not so good weather, cloudy and rainy in the night, but it cleared near Pampa Linda and we could enjoy the views.

Mayo: Tronador al amanecer, pintado de blanco después de las primeras nevadas. A fin de mayo subimos al refugio a escalar en hielo, dentro de las grietas del glaciar, y a esquiar un poco. Algo de nieve había...
May: Tronador at dawn, white blanketed after the first snows. We went there at the end of May, to climb in the crevasses and get some skiing. There was some snow...

Junio: Volcán Puyehue, desde el cerro Mirador, en la frontera entre Argentina y Chile. El comienzo del invierno estuvo raro, primero nevó bastante y después hizo calor, así que había que buscar los manchones de nieve para esquiar un poco. ¡Nieve primavera en pleno invierno!
June: Puyehue volcano, from Mirador hill, in the border between Argentina and Chile. A quite weird winter start, some snow in early June, followed by some high temperatures, so you had to look for the snow patches to get some skiing. Spring skiing in the middle of winter!

Julio: Martín bajando del Ranrapalca, cordillera blanca, Perú.
Parece que se nos va a hacer de noche antes de llegar al refugio...
Martín y Maxi hicieron cumbre, yo pegué la vuelta a los 6000 m, más o menos.

Agosto: Mati esquiando el Lanín, de fondo el cerro las Peinetas,
y más atrás el volcán Llaima. ¡Muy buen día de esquí!.

Septiembre: El Pájaro y Martín hacia la cumbre del puntiagudo,
en uno de los últimos largos. ¡Muy buena salida!
September: Pájaro and Martín climbing into Puntiagudo's summit,
one of the last pitches. That was a great climb!

Octubre: Casi todo el mes de Octubre estuve de viaje por trabajo, en Benavidez, provincia de Buenos Aires. En la foto, las antenas apuntando a los satélites geoestacionarios ARSAT1 y ARSAT2, diseñados y ensamblados en INVAP.
October: I was out for work almost all October, in Benavidez, Buenos Aires province. In the picture, the antennas pointing to geostationary satellites ARSAT1 and ARSAT2, designed and assembled in INVAP.

Noviembre: Amanecer en el col entre el pico Argentino e Internacional del Tronador. Fuimos de vuelta con Martín y el Pájaro a intentar una ruta por la cara norte del Internacional. Se sintió la falta de entrenamiento por un mes, ¡pero estuvo muy bueno!
November: The sun is coming up in the col between Argentinian and International peaks, Tronador volcano. We went again with Martín and Pájaro to try a route on the north face of International peak. I could felt the lack of training, but nevertheless we really enjoy it!

Diciembre: Vista hacia el sur desde el cerro Campanario, cerca de Villa La Angostura, Neuquén. Varios volcanes entre las nubes: Tronador, Pantojo, Puntiagudo, Osorno, Casablanca. Mucha ceniza volcánica, de la erupción del Puyehue en 2011.
